’60 Minutes’ segment will examine Allegiant Air’s safety record

News

An expose set to air on “60 Minutes” this Sunday criticizes Allegiant Air’s safety and maintenance record.

The subject of the “60 Minutes” segment will be “In-Air Breakdowns,” questioning an alarming number of aborted take-offs, loss of cabin pressure and unscheduled landings.

The budget airline began flying out of the Sunport in 2016.

It offers non-stop flights to Las Vegas, Austin, and Los Angeles.
