RIO RANCHO, N.M. (KRQE) – Twenty-one new illegal dumping sites have been discovered in open space areas of Rio Rancho.
Code enforcement officers on ATVs stumbled on the sites this week. Rio Rancho’s had an ongoing problem with illegal dumping, and recently an area of state trust land north of there has been blocked off to trespassers.
To encourage the public to use the landfill, the landfills will be open free of charge to Rio Rancho residents this Saturday.
