2 people caught in Colorado avalanche have been rescued

TELLURIDE, N.M. (KRQE) – Two people were rescued after getting caught in an avalanche in southwestern Colorado.

The hours-long search and rescue mission near Telluride on Tuesday involved multiple agencies and volunteers.

One person was fully buried, another buried up to the neck. They’ve both been reported safe.

Officials say a snowboarder triggered that avalanche.
