2 New Mexico cities receive grant money for new buses

News

Two northern New Mexico cities will be receiving millions of dollars for new buses.

The U.S. Department of Transportation awarded two grants totaling more than $5.6 million to Santa Fe and Espanola.

The money will replace and purchase buses and construct bus-related facilities.

Congressman Ben Ray Lujan says the grants will provide badly needed improvements to public transportation in the cities.
