1 dead after house explosion near Durango

DURANGO, Colo. (KRQE) – One person is dead after a home in southern Colorado exploded.

According to the Durango Herald, the blast happened Thursday in Rico, just north of Durango.

Fire officials said the home was leveled and the doors were blown 100 yards away. The body of 42-year-old Lisa Salliby was found after a three-hour search.

Officials suspect a propane leak may have caused the explosion.
