1 child unaccounted for after New Mexico house fire

BELEN, N.M. (KRQE) – Fire officials are looking for a child who’s missing after a house fire in Rio Communities.

It started Tuesday night and firefighters fear that child may have died in the blaze near Belen. Fire officials say a woman, her mother and three kids lived in the home.

The fire has since been put out, according to deputies.

Since the fire, one of the children is unaccounted for.

It’s still unclear how the fire started.
