The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center works with native communities to help them thrive.
One way is through the “Investing in Artist Success Program.” IPCC received a 32,000 grant from the First Nations Development Institute to support the program.
The program provides professional development training to Native artists through a two-day workshop that is held in their own communities. The workshops are designed to help Pueblo artists make a living by practicing their creative traditions, and will cover topics like promoting themselves as an artist, creating a digital footprint and learning how to submit their work into art shows.
The workshops will also talk about how to build professional portfolios and market their crafts to new audiences.
The Investing in Artist Success program is just another way that the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center is working to invest in Native communities throughout New Mexico.
