Silver Star Nation: Babe Laufenberg optimistic as Cowboys set to open season at Carolina

A number of reasons to have a positive outlook as the Dallas Cowboys open the regular season this coming Sunday by visiting the Carolina Panthers.

The NFL season is about to get underway, and Cowboys fans should be excited.  They ought to be excited about the defense, which is gonna be younger and faster this year, than it’s been in a long time.

Veteran Sean Lee said this is as good a young group that he’s been around since he has been with the Dallas Cowboys.

Offensively they’re gonna get the real Zeke Elliott back.  Last year he came in a little bit overweight, had the suspension to serve for six games, but that suspension loomed over his head.  For the other ten he was never the same player he was in his rookie season.

Cowboys will start the 2018 campaign in Carolina.  They’ll face a familiar face there because it’ll be Norv Turner as the new offensive coordinator, guiding Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers’ offense.
