There’s a month left of winter, but the flu season is just halfway over.

The New Mexico Department of Health says that flu activity is still widespread across the state.

This year’s flu has killed 19 people across the state. Vaccines have been more effective than last year, but the flu shows no signs of stopping.

The DOH says a flu shot is still the best way to protect yourself and those around you.
