Doctors are warning parents about Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease.
It’s a contagious and painful illness usually seen in young children.
Getting back to school, they say elementary school kids are at high risk.
The disease is most commonly caused by a virus.
“It’s usually composed of a fever, rash that can develop in the mouth with blisters or sores on the hands and the foot,” Dr. Trachella Johnson Foy said.
Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease usually only lasts for three to five days.
To help prevent it, make sure your kids wash their hands and don’t share drinks with other people.
