‘Vecinos Project’ celebrates South Valley

New Mexico Living

What do you love about the South Valley?

That’s the question posed with the Vecinos Project, an installation on the corner of Isleta and Bridge, which interviewed dozens of participants.  Their stories, along with a photographic mural and striking sculptures, comprise the project.

The 1/2″ steel plated sculptures were rendered from participants’ profile pictures and reflect the diversity -and universality- of Albuquerque’s historic borough.
