Objects of Art Santa Fe Returns August 9-12

Objects of Art Santa Fe, the city’s favorite summer showcase for unique, one-of-a-kind historic and contemporary works from around the world, returns August 9-12.

There will be more than 70 prestigious gallery owners and other exhibitors presenting thousands of choice art objects handmade by master artists and designers in a range of media. 

Two special exhibits make this a not-to-be-missed show this summer.

Santa Fe’s first-ever major presentation of the Nakashimas’ work, An Exhibition of George and Mira Nakashima Furniture, will be curated by Mira from her own personal collection and those of Hunt Modern, Santa Fe; and Four Winds Gallery, Pittsburgh.

The special exhibit will include more than 20 large and small tables, chairs desks and objects much of which will also be on offer. 

The Antique American Indian Art Show Santa Fe, the most anticipated show and sale of historic Indian art of the summer art season, returns August 14-17, 2018 bringing together more than 65 of the world’s most knowledgeable experts in American Indian art and thousands of select historic art objects from
indigenous cultures throughout the United States and Canada.

Now in its fifth year, it is the largest show of its kind in the world.

The four-day event will take place Tuesday through Friday at El Museo Cultural de Santa Fe in the Santa Fe Railyard. 

The Objects of Art Santa Fe takes place at El Museo Cultural de Santa Fe, 555 Camino de la Familia in the Santa Fe Railyard. It opens with a special champagne pre-opening cocktail hour on Thursday, August 9 from 5 p.m.-6 p.m. benefiting the Assistance Dogs of the West, with tapas provided by Sazón and champagne provided by Gruet. 

The Antique American Indian Art Show Santa Fe takes place at El Museo Cultural de Santa Fe, 555 Camino de la Familia in the Santa Fe Railyard. The Opening Night Party is Tuesday, August 14 from 6 p.m.-9 p.m.; tickets are $50 per person and all proceeds benefit KNME New Mexico PBS. The Antique American Indian Arts Show in Santa Fe runs August 15-17. Admission is $15 per day.
