ABQ TO DO has list of weekend family events

Friday, June 1st at 6 p.m. is the kickoff to the San Felipe de Neri Parish Fiestas. This three-day celebration features entertainment, food and fun for the whole family. There will also be a special concert on the Gazebo starting at 8 p.m. with Salsa band Tributo, which is a preview to the Salsa/Blues Under the Stars concert series presented by NM Jazz Workshop. 
At the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science, they are hosting their First Friday event focused on Da Vinci & Technology. This means discounted admission pricing. 
This weekend also marks the opening of the Jewelry exhibit at the ABQ Museum. 
To accommodate multiple events in the area on June 1, free event parking and shuttles will be available for guests. 
The event takes place June 1, 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. in Historic Old Town.

The National Institute of Flamenco is hosting its first recital for the Conservatory of Flamenco Arts students. They will perform their talents from the Conservatory’s spring semester which include flamenco, jota, Escuela Bolera and ballet. 

Performances at Rodey Theater June 2 at 7 pm and June 3 at 2 pm. Tickets are $15-20 and $10-15 for students and seniors.

Bernalillo County Parks and Recreation is again hosting its popular and family-friendly series Movies in the Park this summer beginning June 2 through Aug. 11 at various locations throughout the county.
Residents and their families can enjoy today’s version of the drive-in movie outdoors and can bring their blankets, lawn chairs and even food and drinks from home. Additionally, food truck vendors will be available at all Movies in the Park showings.
