Sky Ute Casino Resort helped their local community by gathering groceries, supplies and proceeds from donated slot vouchers for the local Durango Food Bank and the La Plata County Humane Society. Fire relief efforts came pouring into the casino with locals concerned about those affected during the devastating 416 fire in Colorado. Sky Ute generously agreed to match 100% of proceeds donated from unredeemed slot tickets for a total of over $2,600 plus supplies.
“Our thoughts remain with everyone impacted by these devastating fires,” said Charley Flagg, General Manager of Sky Ute Casino Resort. “We thank our wonderful casino guests, employees, and locals for their compassion and generosity in supporting local fire relief efforts.”
100% of Sky Ute Casino Resort’s collected contributions will go to the Durango Food Bank, in support of families affected by the fires and the La Plata County Humane Society, helping displaced animals in this emergency. Sky Ute is working with groups on the front lines, including service providers and community foundations, to ensure that funds are used in a rapid and effective way.
Special thanks to the Indian Motorcycle Riders Group and Senator Ben Nighthorse and Linda Campbell.
