Safari Run to help Global Health Partnerships’ work in rural Kenya

Living

Lace up your running shoes to help the Global Health Partnerships’ work in rural Kenya next week at the UNM North Golf Course. Sponsored by Bernalillo County, the event benefits Global Health Partnerships (GHP), an Albuquerque based non-profit organization that provides medical care and humanitarian aid to the poor in rural Kenya, with local community support.

GHP operates with an emphasis on maternal and child health, child nutrition and aid for the most impoverished families.

The Safari Run will start with a free children’s running clinic led by Mbarak Hussein, an elite Kenyan runner. Elite runners from Kenya and other countries will be participating in the run, supporting the work of GHP.
