Have you ever wondered what goes into creating museum exhibitions? Most patrons simply enjoy the shows without giving a second thought to the artistry of storytelling and design that fill the halls of such institutions at the Museum of International Folk Art, the New Mexico Art Museum, or the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture.
“On Exhibit: Designs the Defined the Museum of New Mexico” turns the spotlight on the museum exhibition designers, curators and carpenters, giving a behind-the-scenes look at the evolution of museum curation.
More than 100 years of artifacts, photos and personal testimony of makers create a fun, compact and enjoyable experience at the New Mexico History Museum.
The show runs through July 2019. For more information, visit NMHistoryMuseum.org.
