The upcoming National Veterans Golden Age Games are nearly upon us, and it will be the first time more than a thousand veteran athletes will be competing in the Duke City.

More than 1,000 veteran athletes from all over the U.S. will compete in 21 Olympic style events from August 3 through 8. Some of the sporting events include, basketball, track and field, table tennis, badminton, golf, and bowling.

Sporting venues include the Albuquerque Convention Center and several other locations around the city.

The goal is to raise $250,000 in monetary and in-kind donations and sponsorships. To find out how you can get involved in this New Mexico event that will honor our Veterans, please contact Jery Burgoa by email at Jerhald.Burgoa@va.gov, or call him at (505) 248-3214.  You also can contact Judy Goldman at (505) 222-7650.
