This weekend, Albuquerque’s fastest rising folk-rock band, Dust City Opera, will be releasing their highly-anticipated debut album, “Heaven.”
Led by notable Albuquerque singer/songwriter, Paul Hunton, the band’s arrangements are unique. With a refreshingly different instrumentation, the Dust City Opera is tearing down the norms of the folk-rock music scene one song at a time.
The album contains 12 original songs. CDs and digital downloads will be available on all major streaming platforms and Dust City Opera’s online store on March 3.
To celebrate the occasion, Launchpad in Albuquerque is hosting an album release party on Saturday, March 2. Advanced tickets are currently on sale for $10 (or $15 at the door) and each attendee will receive a free copy of the new album.
Dust City Opera will be joined on stage by local favorites, Le Chat Lunatique and Bill Palmer’s TV Killers.
The Dust City Opera members include Paul Hunton, Clara Byom, Jared Putnam, Justin McLauchlin, Travis Rourk, and Greg Williams.
