Doggie Dash & Dawdle is Sunday, November 4 at Balloon Fiesta Park

Doggie Dash and Dawdle is New Mexico's biggest party for people and pets.

Scheduled for Sunday, November 4 at Balloon Fiesta Park, it is Animal Humane New Mexico's biggest annual fundraiser.

The anticipated 4,000 human attendees and 2,000 dogs can participate in a 5K timed run, a 1-mile walk, entertainment such as Doggie Carnival, a Barketplace filled with local vendors and artisans, food trucks, a beer garden, live music and more.

Registration costs $35 for adults and $20 for children 12 and younger.

Register at DoggieDashandDawdle.org.

For those, already signed up for Dash or planning to be after this segment airs, they can beat day-of registration lines by picking up a race packet at Sport Systems on Saturday, November 3 from 11 am - 5 pm. All dogs are welcome.

The packet pickup event will include a Celebrity Crate Challenge, where people can donate to keep participating community leaders and local celebrities in dog crates.

There will be vendors such as Long Leash On Life and Rock & Brews passing out dog treats, and Sport Systems is also generously donating a portion of their weekend proceeds to Animal Humane - 20% of your purchase if you bring your pup and 15% if you shop solo.

In addition, Animal Humane will have adoptable dogs on site.
