Many people are finding themselves homeless in Albuquerque for different reasons whether it’s financial, behavioral or substance abuse issues.
The bottom line is, these people need a place to live that provides safety, dignity and a path to permanent housing. Regardless of why people are on the streets, they share one common need, finding a place to call home.
Lisa Huval, Deputy Director of Housing and Homelessness with the Department of the City of Albuquerque, appeared on New Mexico Living to talk about the issue and what’s being done.
