G.R. Carter Jr., one of the most celebrated jockey’s in the business, is coming out of retirement for the 2016 All American Futurity.
For over 30 years G.R. has ridden in 29,000 races with 4,000 victories.
When asked why he is coming out of retirement, Carter says it’s because of the All American Futurity – it’s the marque, it’s the Kentucky Derby, the Super Bowl – it’s one of the biggest things in quarter horse racing. “Quarter horse racing is just like a drag race. It’s all about straight, to the point and getting that burst of speed.”
