NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – A movie shot in New Mexico snagged some Oscar nods. Tom Hanks stars in “News of the World” a western following a civil war veteran who must return a young girl to her family.
The film is up for four Academy Awards for cinematography, production design, original score, and sound. The film was mostly shot in and around Santa Fe.
