Meteorologist
Zoe is extremely excited to be a part of KRQE’s Weather Team as the newest Noon Meteorologist. Before making her way to New Mexico, Zoe was a meteorologist at our sister station WNCT in Greenville NC. She is very excited to learn all about the different weather patterns that go along with living in the desert southwest…it’s a vastly different covering hurricanes in North Carolina to wildfires in New Mexico. While living in Greenville, Zoe was also an adjunct professor at East Carolina University, teaching Principles of Synoptic Meteorology (all about forecasting the weather) to upper-level students. It’s here that Zoe fell in love with teaching, and hopes to continue educating KRQE viewers with interesting weather knowledge each and every day.
Zoe graduated from Indiana University with an Atmospheric Sciences B.S. degree, the top student in her class and president of The Weather Club. She grew up in the Chicago area, allowing her to truly fall in love with all four seasons and the great differences between them. She has been fascinated by extreme weather since a young age, always begging to go outside to watch thunderstorms and lightning, which she still does for almost every storm to this day. When not enthralled in the weather, Zoe enjoys spending time outdoors and walking her dog Junior Mintz (get it?!). Whether it is bike riding, hiking, fishing, golfing, kayaking, or just enjoying the sunshine, Zoe is looking forward to exploring the beautiful Land of Enchantment. Send any food, sunset spots, or good hiking recommendations her way!
