Natalie Wadas

Multimedia Reporter

Natalie Wadas joined the KRQE Team as a multimedia journalist in April of 2022.

Hailing from the Baltimore area in Maryland, she joins us from WOWK 13 News in Charleston/Huntington, West Virginia where she reported the news for West Virginia, Kentucky, and Ohio!

Natalie graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with her degree in Journalism and with minors in both political science and Russian. During her time there, she interned at KRDO NewsChannel 13 in Colorado Springs and also completed a fellowship with News21 out of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism in Phoenix, Arizona. Her work there with the team won an EPPY Award and a Robert F. Kennedy Award for Excellence in Journalism.

Natalie grew up traveling and has lived in Germany and Belgium. She speaks German fluently and knows her fair share of Russian––she actually spent a month abroad in St. Petersburg to learn more about the language and culture.

Natalie is excited to be back out west! When she’s not on the air, you can find Natalie hiking many of the beautiful trails this region has to offer and exploring the Land of Enchantment or playing with her black cat, Salem!

Natalie went into journalism to report news and serve the communities she works for, and loves meeting viewers. If you see her out and about, feel free to say hi and welcome her to the area! Have a story idea or just want to chat?
