Josh Redwine is our newest member of the KRQE family coming from our sister station, WBOY in Clarksburg, West Virginia. There he served as their evening and weekend meteorologist and now joined the team as our new weekend meteorologist.
Originally from eastern North Carolina, Josh became fascinated by weather at a young age, but really found the calling to become a meteorologist in 2016 when Hurricane Michael made its way through the Carolinas, causing major damage, and flooding. After seeing the effects that this storm had on his community, he decided that he wanted to help by warning people of the dangers that weather can cause and helping people prepare for them as well.
Before joining WBOY, Josh attended UNC-Charlotte where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology in 2020. He was able to use his skills to not only broadcast the weather but serve as a multimedia journalist, updating West Virginians about new and upcoming restaurants, reporting football games, and a variety of other fieldwork.
He has a passion for the outdoors, experiencing new restaurants and events in Albuquerque and across the state. If you have any ideas about places to visit and must-see attractions in New Mexico please email him at Joshua.redwine@KRQE.com
