Meteorologist
Eric joins KRQE News 13 as a meteorologist and is excited to make the ‘Land of Enchantment’ his new home. Eric is no stranger to the high desert climate, as he spent some time in Reno, Nevada with KRNV News 4 where he reported environmental stories from Lake Tahoe and learned all about wildfires and drought. Previously, he spent some time in the deep south with WTVY in Dothan, AL where he covered category 5 Hurricane Michael and several tornado outbreaks across the area.
Eric grew up in Cleveland, OH where he learned to appreciate the many diverse microclimates of northeastern Ohio from lake effect snow in the winter to severe weather outbreaks in the summer.
He graduated from the Ohio State University with a major in meteorology and a minor in geography. He is very passionate about weather, so feel free to reach out to him to ask a weather question.
Eric loves to explore the beauty of the desert southwest. He loves the drier summers compared to the humid Midwest and South. He and his wife like to enjoy the outdoors for hikes and sunsets. They have a little yellow canary as a traveling companion on their journey through the states.
