Christopher is excited to forecast weather in New Mexico and embraces the challenges of forecasting weather in the unique microclimates across this beautiful state. Not only does Christopher hope to accurately forecast the weather but he hopes to do so in a way that tells a compelling story. You can catch him at Noon during the weekdays.
Christopher is from Texas (not too far from home) but grew up as a Sooner fan. Christopher studied meteorology at the University of Oklahoma, and received his M.S. and Ph.D from Mississippi State University in Applied Meteorology and Earth & Atmospheric Science (Hail State). Christopher also taught meteorology and climatology courses at MSU for three years and has published research in the field. He is a TRUE weather nerd! Christopher has always loved meteorology and science, and interestingly enough, he is a huge college sports fan; everything from softball to football (he supports OU and MSU in every sport)!
While not working or conducting research, Christopher loves to spend time outside. He grew up hunting and camping, and enjoys to hit the trails in New Mexico with his best friend (Cash). Cash is Christopher’s dog whom he absolutely spoils. It is quite possible you may catch Christopher and Cash around the state enjoying The Land of Enchantment.
