The Summer Food Service Program begins in parts of Albuquerque and Rio Rancho Tuesday.
The program, which provides low-income, school-aged children have food during summer break, kicks off Tuesday, May 29 at various locations.
From May 29 through August 10, meals will be provided to children ages one to 18 at the following locations in Rio Rancho:
- Star Heights Recreation Center
- Sabana Grande Recreation Center
- Rainbow Pool Facility
- North Hills Park
- Leon Grande Park
- Haynes Park
These meals will be provided Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on a first come, first served basis and will include milk, fruit juice, a meat product, grains and a fruit or vegetable serving.
Additionally, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central New Mexico will offer food services to youth 18-years-old and under in both Albuquerque and Rio Rancho.
Seligman Clubhouse in Albuquerque and Schumann Clubhouse in Rio Rancho will both offer breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and lunch 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
