Memorial service for Albuquerque mailman, Jose ‘Pepe’ Hernandez

On Monday, April 29, the community will gather to honor a mailman who was shot and killed while on his route in Albuquerque.

José “Pepe” Hernandez (1971 – 2019) will be honored at a memorial service on Monday, April 29, 2019, from 10:00 -11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 300 Loma Colorado Blvd. NE in Rio Rancho, NM.

Military Funeral Honors will be held from 2:15-3:00 pm at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, located at 501 N. Guadalupe St. in Santa Fe, NM. Services are open to the public.

Santa Fe baseball academy planning to host indoor league

SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) - It's been nearly a year since many kids and teens in the state have played a competitive sport. And now, one baseball academy in Santa Fe is hoping to bring back that competitive spirit by hosting an indoor league, with safety in mind.

"If you're a baseball player and you want to get back out there in the box and face a hitter or face a pitcher, this is the league for you," said Ian Farris, the co-owner of E & G Baseball Academy.

Clovis pharmacy moving vaccine efforts to unused grocery store

CLOVIS, N.M. (KRQE) - Those eligible for the COVID vaccine may soon be able to get it in Clovis.

Roden-Smith Pharmacy is moving its vaccination efforts to a mobile clinic at the former Raintree Grocery store building on East Llano Estacado in Clovis. Beginning Monday, distribution will start at 8 a.m. and run until 6 p.m. or until they run out of vaccines.
