A young bald eagle is fighting for its life at the Santa Fe Raptor Center.
Game and Fish found the eagle at the bottom of a canyon near Questa.
They took the bird to the Raptor Center and it was in bad shape, leading them to believe it had lead poisoning, most likely from a hunter’s bullet.
The eagle had been having seizures, a side effect of lead poisoning.
