Christmas Tree Recycling Information

Always On

As the holiday decorations come down, the city of Albuquerque is offering free recycling.

Three locations around town will be accepting Christmas trees and lights from Jan. 2 through Jan. 14 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The trees will be ground up into wood chips which residents can later pick up for free to use for landscaping.

Trees and lights should only be recycled at the drop-off sites, not in blue curbside bins.

Trees and lights may be dropped off at the following locations:

  • Montessa Park Convenience Center, 3512 Los Picaros SE, (505) 873-6607
  • Eagle Rock Convenience Center, 6301 Eagle Rock NE, (505) 857-8318
  • Ladera Golf Course, Coors and Ladera NW, (505) 888-8115
