The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office is working to diversify its workforce.
Saturday, the department hosted its first ever Women in Law Enforcement seminar at Cottonwood Mall. Women in all areas of the department gave testimonials and shared their love for the job.
They want women across the metro to be aware of all the opportunities available to them.
“To those interested, I tell them never give up. Don’t give up today, don’t give up in the process, don’t give up in the academy and when you’re out in the field, pursue those dreams and we look forward to seeing you,” said Deputy Felicia Maggard.
