ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque Public Schools is expanding its system to notify parents if their students are missing school.

This year, parents and guardians of students in all grades will receive text messages from the district about unexcused absences.

To receive text messages, families need to make sure their child’s school has current cell phone numbers. The first welcome text will be sent out Monday.
