SANTA FE (KRQE) - The man accused of stealing millions of dollars from contractors, homebuilders, and investors faced a judge in Santa Fe Tuesday.
William Kalinowski pleaded not guilty to 10 counts of fraud and embezzlement.
Kalinowski was the focus of a Larry Barker KRQE News 13 investigation after a state agency abruptly shut down the investigation into his activities.
He allegedly promised to build luxury homes but took off with the money.
Kalinowski was arrested in Massachusetts and extradited to New Mexico.
The judge will allow Kalinowski out on bond, but he must wear a GPS monitor and cannot leave the state.
