ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Bernalillo County firefighters were able to attack a fire that broke out in the Albuquerque Bosque.
The fire started just after 1:30 Monday afternoon on the east side of the river, south of Rio Bravo.
Firefighters were able to calm the fire quickly.
While there wind blowing Monday, firefighters say they are actually helping in this case.
They say the winds are blowing the fire away from the Bosque toward some farmland which is serving as a natural fire break.
Firefighters estimate that the fire's burned about two acres and is 100 percent contained.
There is no word on a cause.
