ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A section of one of Albuquerque's major river crossings was closed for about an hour Saturday afternoon as firefighters worked on a blaze burning in the Rio Grande bosque.
Eastbound Paseo del Norte NW was closed from Eagle Ranch Road to Second Street starting around 3 p.m.
The fire on the west side of the river did not affect the bridge over the Rio Grande, but fire vehicles staged in the eastbound lanes.
The lanes reopened about 4 p.m.
A spokesman for the Bernalillo County Fire Department said the fire is 100 percent contained and covered about two acres.
