Weather Underground midday recap for Monday, June 17, 2013.
Wet and unsettled weather continued for parts of the East and South on Monday as a cold front dropped southeastward from southern Canada into the Midwest and Northeast. The Storm Prediction Center issued a slight risk of severe thunderstorm development through from the afternoon through tonight. While the main concerns with these storms are isolated areas of hail and damaging wind gusts, a few isolated tornadoes were also possible.
Out West, an upper level low located off the Pacific Northwest coast kicked up areas of showers in Washington as it neared the coast.
Temperatures in the Lower 48 states Monday have ranged from a morning low of 30 degrees at Stanley, Idaho to a midday high of 102 degrees at Casa Grande, Ariz.
