Due to a slight change in coverage area when KASA changes from analog VHF channel 2 to Digital UHF Channel 27, as assigned by the Federal Government, KASA is projected to have a 3.4% service loss of our current analog population.
UHF television propagation is not as reliable over obstructions, when compared to VHF channels. Analog viewers obstructed by mountains, hills or buildings may be unable to receive the station’s digital signal on channel 27, though they may still be covered by KASA's translator network.
Service Loss Notice: KREZ
Due to a slight change in coverage area when KREZ changes from analog VHF channel 6 to Digital UHF Channel 15, as assigned by the Federal Government, KREZ is projected to have a 8.9% service loss of our current analog population.
UHF television propagation is not as reliable over obstructions, when compared to VHF channels. Analog viewers obstructed by mountains, hills or buildings may be unable to receive the station’s digital signal on channel 15, though they may still be covered by KREZ's translator network.
