ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) - Diego Sanchez is now 34 years old, but feels stronger than ever coming into his fight with Joe Lauzon on Saturday.
"The Dream" is on one of the most hyped cards to date, UFC 200, and will be fighting Lauzon on the UFC Fight Pass Prelim.
"This is UFC 200, it's the biggest event of all time. I am just pleased and honored to be on it, and I am coming in there with everything that I have and I am going to put an epic performance on," said Diego Sanchez. He is coming off a big unanimous decision win over Jim Miller in UFC 196, which bettered his professional record to 26-8.
Lauzon will pose some problems for Diego, as he is long and has a solid ground game. But Diego is very confident and feels very prepared for this UFC 200 bout. You can definitely expect a high octane fight when Diego is in the cage, and that's what he expects on Saturday.
"Just don't blink because I am going in there and I am going to chase my opponent down, and I won't start until he is conquered, and I am going to strike him down and he is not going to get up," said Sanchez.
UFC Fight Pass Prelim begins on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
