CLOVIS, N. M. (KRQE) - The 21-year-old man wanted in thekilling of two people in Clovis last weekend apparently wants tosurrender.
Anthony Casillas is suspected of killing Gary Payne, 53, ofMelrose and 36-year old Melissa Ward, 36, of Lubbock, Texas. Police found their bodies in a van that drove off a road andcrashed into a wall late last Thursday.
Both had been shot in the head.
On Tuesday Casillas mother's contacted a judge in Moore, Texas,who handling another of Casillas's cases. She told him thatshe has been visiting her son and that the shooting was inself-defense.
Casillas's mother also said they were getting a lawyer to dealwith the situation.
