ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The Silver Fire burning in the Gila has exploded over the last few days – growing to 125,000 acres.
That's up from 100,000 acres Friday.
Crews focused on protecting seven homes on the west side of the fire Sunday.
Those homes are about two miles from the blaze.
At last check the fire is reported to be 45 percent contained.
