CUBA, N.M. (KRQE) - State police are investigating a fatal crash involving a car and a semi-truck.
The incident took place just before 10 p.m. last Wednesday night on highway 550 just south of Cuba, New Mexico.
Police said the car driven by Jessica Sanchez, 22, crossed into the southbound lanes of traffic and hit a semi head on.
Sanchez, who was not wearing a seat belt, was killed.
The truck driver was not hurt.
The investigating is ongoing, but police do not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
