Woman accused in kidnapping pleads guilty in court

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) - A woman who kidnapped a woman who was beaten to death pleaded guilty in court Friday.

Police say 40-year-old Shawna Cannon is one of four people who tied up Tiffany Boyer.

Boyer was killed at a home near San Mateo and Constitution, then her body was dumped in Socorro County.

Prosecutors say the group blamed her for their friend's death. Cannon took a plea and will be sentenced later for kidnapping.

Stephanie Stepp pleaded guilty to second degree murder for Boyer's death and is serving 24 years.

Another suspect, William Alexander, is on trial now.
