Albuquerque's bike share program is expanding

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) - Albuquerque's bike share program is expanding under new management.

Additions to the city's Bici Program will be unveiled Thursday at Civic Plaza.

The program began in 2014 with just 10 bicycles.

In 2016, Rio Metro took over the program's management and has since partnered with bike share vendor, Zagster, allowing users to have access to 250 bikes at 50 different stations.

The bikes are rented for $1 per half hour.
