CHICAGO (AP) — The latest gun violence in Chicago has left four people dead and four wounded.
The Chicago Sun-Times reports that the bloodshed stretched from the upscale Gold Coast neighborhood to the far South Side, which experiences frequent gang violence.
According to the Cook County medical examiner's office, the dead included 18-year-old Jaleel Pearson, who was shot in the chest and arm around 6 p.m. Friday in the South Shore neighborhood.
The Sun-Times reports that the Gold Coast incident involved a man who was shot and injured during an apparent argument over a parking space.
On Thursday, 13 people were hurt when someone opened fire with an assault rifle on a crowd of people in a park on the city's southwest side.
