HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) — The Clark County coroner's office in Nevada said Sunday that a 40-year-old woman and her 9-year-old son were stabbed to death in their Henderson apartment.
Officers found their bodies on Friday after being asked to visit the apartment when the woman did not show up for work and her two sons did not show up for school.
Police say her 16-year-old son, Adrian Navaro, is still missing and he's not considered a suspect at this time.
Investigators say they're following up on leads but no suspect or motive has been identified so far.
Though authorities haven't identified the victims, relatives told the Las Vegas Sun and KSNV-TV that they are Elvira Canales and her son Cesar Navarro.
Henderson police spokesman Keith Paul says there were no new details to report Sunday evening.
