PHOENIX (AP) — Authorities say a helicopter has crashed north of Phoenix.
Mayer Fire Department Battalion Fire Chief Michael McGhee said the crash occurred Saturday afternoon near Mayer and there are no survivors.
It was not known how many were on board.
McGhee told KNXV-TV that the military-style helicopter crashed nose first along I-17 near Mile Post 268.
Mayer is about 70 miles north of Phoenix.
