WHITE SANDS, N.M. (KRQE) - A target missile missed its mark at White Sands Missile Range and landed within the boundaries of the historic Trinity Site.
The missile was supposed to be hit by another missile fired at the range last Friday.
White Sands won't say how off it was, but it landed in the Trinity Site ground zero for the first nuclear bomb detonation.
No buildings were hit and no one was injured.
White Sands isn't saying if it did any other damage to the site.
