BERNALILLO, N.M. (KRQE) - At 8 o’clock Wednesday night the town of Bernalillo may be going dry due to a new water utility line that is being installed.
The new line is a part of the New Mexico 550 I-25 job.
Because of it, people living east of the Rio Grande bridge on Highway 550 and all areas south of Highway 550 can expect the water to be turned off at 8 p.m.
It's possible this work will cut off water to 80 percent of the town for nine to 12 hours.
Town officials urge folks to prepare to have no water.
Note: The outage will affect the town of Bernaillo in Sandoval County not Bernalillo County.
