RATON N.M. (KRQE) - A bear, well-known in Raton for foraging in a dumpster behind a Sonic, almost died Sunday.
The Department of Game and Fish responded to a call that the bear had been electrocuted.
When they arrived, they found the bear was still alive on top of a power pole.
Officials darted the bear, but as it fell, its collar from a previous capture caught on the pole.
